ANOTHER PRIVATE CHAT/TUT opportunity! I found this stock photo which was perfect to demonstrate how beautiful it would look with selective color! I used my new vintage fabric kit which has some awesome fabric, ribbon, and nice antique memo book.

We had so much success in our blending chat, I am now holding another chat/tut for PHOTOSHOP customers, who purchase my 2 fabric kits, this type of coloring technique. I must warn you that you may be disappointed with class because I am teaching a simple technique. So please take that into consideration.

To qualify for this chat/tut, you must purchase both vintage fabric kits. We will use both in class. There will be homework. You will need to post it to the SBE gallery for your classmates to review and enjoy and be inspired. You may choose between one of the following classes: Wednesday, March 8th at 9pm, or Thursday, March 9th at 11am .

Christmas Card Layout ideas and Designer Tips -

For the past 5 years, I promised my dh that I would make our Christmas cards. Perhaps, needless to say, we went cardless. I think this embarassed my dh. But this year I am prepared and I have a special offer for you too.

Designer tip... Although the photographs are small, can you see how there are 3 cut-out trees on the bottom card? The tip is this. I put the metal tree on the background paper, used my magic wand around the tree, inversed the selection, pressed "delete" while on the background paper, and viola! I have created an interested effect. Was this tip useful? Hope you can let me know.

I am blessed with 2 talented teenagers who truly do have a kind heart. As you may know, though, it is not that easy to get them to agree to pose for any photo.

I also sell on e-bay, and after taking this photo of my dd, I noticed how photogenic she was. And I used her as inspiration for my Chic Shabby kit. I must admit though, I promised to pay her for this photo if this kit would sell. But hey, it's a win/win situation.

My 5-minute Layout - Instructions

Hiya... Thank you for stopping by. I hope to show you lots of tips and tricks each week .This first entry will walk you through the basic steps of my 5-minute layout!

I am an independent designer. You may have seen my work at Scrapbook-Elements and Scrapbook-Bytes. I also have a few items at Pages of the Heart.

I'm thinking that I want to create a blog that is interesting and informative to my scrapping sisters, where we can share some of design and layout tips, projects, an occasional freebie sample to show my customer appreciation, and more if i can get feedback that this is useful to others. So it does make a difference if you can stop by and leave a comment.today's entry will walk you through the basic steaps of my 5minutes layout above.

Today I wanted to show you a layout I did in 5 minutes. It is so much easier than I expected. I used my ARTIFACTS 2 brushes from SCRAPBOOK-BYTES. I stamped one design in pink and duplicated the layer, and laid it out to create the border on the right.

I placed the photo in the center, then I used my Designer Brushed Borders from SCRAPBOOK-ELEMENTS and changed the color to white. These come in .png format. I resized the photo and frame, but required no cutting. That was a really quick way to frame a photo.

I took the same white frame and placed it on top of my pink brushed pattern (I resized it of course). That's how I got the messy edges!

Finally, I used a standard font, and added the words.
